1 yard sale.
2 broken finger nails.
2 trips to Home Depot.
2 guys and a truck.
3rd floor. No elevator!
4 rolls of tape.
5 days without TV or Internet (thank God for free WiFi).
5 nights of take out.
5 trips to Goodwill.
10 wardrobe boxes.
12 overpriced newspapers purchased and used to wrap my precious wine glasses dishes.
28 boxes.
Countless curse words uttered, trips to our storage unit and glasses of wine drank.
Have I mentioned how much I hate moving?!
But, last night in our new apartment (gulp) I slept better than I have in a long time because the hard part is behind us. I hope…
Now on to house hunting!
The hard part is behind you. Hope you all feel settled and comfortable in your new space soon. (Love that red wall!)
The red wall and the boy it belongs to is one of the best parts of the move. Children are so resilient. Me, on the other hand, not so much!
Moving really sucks, I’m glad it’s done! (for now, until you find a house)
Me too!! Only seven boxes of stuff to put away.
Whew! Glad that you made it safe and sound over to the new place and that moving day is behind you. I do love that red wall very much in Lucas’s bedroom. See you next weekend to help with some unpacking! XOXO
Looking forward to you seeing our new space.
Ugh, I hate moving too. All that little stuff and feeling like you’re in limbo. But glad that part is over for you! And love the red wall.
Limbo is the worst!! I’m still surrounded by boxes. Ugh.
I love the red wall! And I’m glad you’re sleeping better. Good luck figuring out where things should go.
Packing is hard but unpacking is way harder!! Sigh.
moving is physically & emotionally draining. Best of luck in your house hunt!
Yes!! Thank you, I hope we find something ASAP.
I hate the work involved in moving, but I do like the idea of a fresh start.
Yes, change is nice, but this is a MAJOR downsize for us and it is going to take an adjustment period and a lot of patience.
I also hate moving and this post reminded me why! If we ever move, it will be the one and only time. I hate uprooting. Hopefully you all are feeling more settled by now…since I am reading this post a million years late!
