Every night I tell myself, as soon as Lucas goes to bed, I’m going to go too and every night, I stay up WAY past my bedtime.
This is my view at 11:15 PM.
And I wonder why I’m such a grump in the morning.
This post is for Wordless Wednesdays and if you want to link up, or see some really beautiful photographs, please visit Alicia at A Beautiful Mess. This week, she is on vacation with her family and being rejuvenated by sand and surf.
I like that you show the clock in the background also. I have given up hope of ever going to bed early because after the kids go to sleep is the best time I have for doing my homework and going through my reader (which I am doing right now). But I am also grumpy in the mornings.
I tell myself the EXACT same thing. Bed at 7:30 with the kids. Next thing you know I'm blogging/commenting/tweeting/reading/watching Real Housewives and it's 11:30pm! I'm with you!
Yup. Did you sneak into my house and take this picture? Looks about right except I don't have the lovely flowers and my house is WAY messier!
Test comment! Thank you!
I totally agree with you! I INTEND to be in bed by 10, 10:30 at the latest, and usually I'm groaning as I see the clock nearing midnight when I crawl into bed. *sigh*
How you can stay up so late when Lucas gets up so early blows my mind. I'm lucky if I make it to 9pm!

I wish i could go to bed at a decent hour – i dont get there until 2am most nights then drag my butt out of bed at 7. it's not working so well!
My groom has started MAKING me turn off the computer and come to bed with him at a reasonable hour…and I must say, it's not an altogether bad thing. 😉
So true! I went to bed at ten last night and I felt so much better this morning. Shutting my computer now…. 🙂
When I spend the night, I'm pretty good about hitting the hay shortly after Lucas goes to bed. I almost feel like there is nothing left to do anymore-he is sleeping peacefully and doesn't need to be entertained so why should I be up? All that computer work and everything else can be done another time..bu i understand why you feel like you have to get it all done at night once he goes to bed.
Maybe you should try picking one or two nights a week that you really do just go to bed after he does…just an idea…
You know I feel you on this one 😉
I fear that that scene is a familiar one for most moms. Sigh. The break was amazing. The sand between my toes was just what I needed. Thanks for linking up!
