Moving isn’t easy.
It was not made for the faint of heart, the unorganized, the patient-less, meant to take on during the holidays or the parents of a toddler.
What were we thinking?
As I pack, he unpacks.
As I make piles, he reorganizes them.
As I build boxes, he climbs in them.A few ago, our friends sent us a change of address notice and used a similar trio of photos of their daughter popping out of a box and I loved it so much that it is still on our refrigerator (well, it was until I packed it the other day). This was my attempt at duplicating that.
This holiday, try to enjoy the simple moments, the silly moments, the moments you know you’ll never get back and each and every photo opportunity. I am!

He's just too cute. I love the playing in boxes phase so much. Way more fun than a Nintendo DS…at least for me 🙂

He is just adorable.
I love the photo progression so much.
Be sure to keep one or two of those boxes after the move, it might entertain him to pack things up while you're trying to unpack!

Are these the ones that we took when I was in town? I don't really remember that shirt…? He is too cute!

Moving with a toddler sounds like hell on wheels. But those pictures? Are priceless.

Stopping by from Mama Kat's. Cute photos! Your post made me remember when I moved two years ago. My kids were ages 1 and 3 at the time and they too made it so hard to get packed up. Nothing with a toddler is simple!

Love the simple moments. This year I've told myself to not bother with going to every holiday party… to make sure to spend time as a family, too.

He's SO cute! And that's how I feel when I try to pick up toys when X is awake. He follows me around and undoes everything. And yet I still try it.
When will you be moved in??
Suzanne says
That is precious.

wow – moving with a toddler during the holidays sounds like a surefire way to become addicted to some substance in my mind….God bless you!
Hoping it continues to go well, and thank you for the reminder to stop and enjoy the simple moments!
