Lucas got his DOC Band on Wednesday, which makes today, Day 3 of him wearing it.
So far, so good…. He has very quickly adjusted to it and doesn’t even seem to notice that it is on. Aren’t children amazing?
He is doing a lot better with it than I am. I just keep reminding myself that he is same baby with or without the band and there is no need to treat him any differently. I am so thankful for all of the support I have around me and for having such a happy and otherwise healthy baby.
Here is the first photo taken of him wearing it.

Hang in there Momma! Kids are resilient and this is for a good reason. I know it must be so hard for you but you made the right choice. Besides, it's hardly noticeable! 😉

Tonya,
Your little Lucas is so handsome that all I can see when I look at this picture are his big blue eyes and his chubby cheeks! The 100 days will go by really fast, and as you said in "Baby Proofing", the Doc Band will come to be useful!
Emma started to walk when she was 11 months, she never crawled, but as she was wanting to stand up all the time, she kept banging her head on the tiles! I bought her a special foam helmet because I was so worried she would knock herself out!!!
I know this is very tough for you and Todd (it would be for me), but Lucas will be so thankful in a few years that it's really worth it.
Take care and cheer up!
Sending you lots of love,
