I have a real camera somewhere, but I haven’t seen it in years.
I got my first iPhone on September 28, 2009 (yes, I know the exact date) and I have been taking photos with it ever since. I was snapping photos with other cell phones prior to that, but a smart phone is slick. It’s easy to use, portable, the new iOS 7 has built in filters and there are tons of cool photography apps available.
I’m not a great photographer but I try. I think I have a good eye and so I take lots of photos. I’m trying to focus on capturing more candids and small moments.
Some of the pictures I take are silly and stupid and deleted immediately, many are for the purposes of the blog or Instagram and tons are texted to family and friends on a daily basis and then there are a very select few that are blown up, framed and hang in my home.
This will be one of those precious few.
Sharing this pregnancy with Lucas has been so much sweeter than I ever could have imagined and baby kicks? Well, there is nothing better.
Linking up this week with Sarah of The Sunday Spill and Greta of Gfunkified for their #iPPP weekly meme.
Oh how sweet! What a fantastic picture. I need to be better about framing pictures- one of the reasons I’m so excited to get the new iPhone was because, like you, I’ve only been using it since 2009 to take photos!
Love the picture 🙂
Thank you. I’m itching for the new iPhone too!!
I want to cry.
I’m so happy.
It’s sweet as hell, isn’t it?
What a fantastic photo. (And I take all mine with my iPhone too.)
There’s no denying it takes great shots.
I just realized last week I haven’t used my point and shoot in ages, either. It’s got the same megapixels as my iPhone, and that makes one less thing I gotta schlep in my bag all the time!
I do miss some of the controls I have on the actual camera, though. I’ve been pondering a new one…
I hear ya, but with all the cool filters and editing apps your smart phone shots can be awesome too!
Oh gosh. I love this. I think this needs to be hung in the new babies room so that he/she will know how much he/she was loved before he/she even arrived. That feels like a lot of he/she. 😉
That’s a great place for it! She is so loved.
Ooph. My heart. How cute is that??
(: Thank you.
Adorable!!! There is something so jarring about using a “real” camera. My kids know the minute they see it that they should stop and get camera ready even if I don’t really want them to pose. You can sneak photos so much easier with the phone. Some of my most cherished pictures are from the phone. You have a keeper with that photo up there. So sweet.
Smart phones just make it so easy!
Such a precious moment, glad I caught it.
Such a great photo!!! Treasure that one!
Thanks, Gigi!
Oh it’s so true about those baby kicks. I miss that the most.
They are so fun to feel and now that my four year old can feel them too, it’s even sweeter.
Such a sweet sweet photo 🙂
Thank you, I got very lucky.
My iPhone takes all of my pictures these days and I’m loving it even more now that I finally jumped the Instagram train. (it dragged my feet for way too long) Your photo is amazing and heartwarming. I miss the baby kicks. 🙂
Instagram is a lot of fun. I hope we are following one another?!
So sweet and so lovely – a framer, for sure! 🙂
I’m excited to blow it up and put in the nursery. (:
Oh my heart (and my uterus) just did flip flops!
I love this so much.
Yes, frame it. Frame it now.
Thanks, Alison. I’m so excited.
Ohmyheart, Tonya! That’s a framer, for sure! <3
It’s sure to be an all time favorite of mine.
My son is completely camera shy when it comes to me taking his pictures, so hauling out my big DSLR is definitely not his cup of tea. With my iPhone, I can snap a picture or two without him even knowing it!
Candids are perfect with a smart phone.
That is THE sweetest!! Keep taking all the photos! 😀
Thanks, Elaine!
That definitely should be hanging on the wall. What a precious, sweet moment. SWOON.
What a great picture! I am so happy that you are sharing this sweet time with your son.
I love this photo!
Oh, I want to feel the baby kick too!!!
