Some days the sadness wins and you just can’t fight it.
Some days the questions outweigh the answers.
Some days there are more tears than smiles.
Some days it would be so much easier to pull the covers way up over your head and stay in bed all day long.
Some days holding on to the past is more comfortable than being in the present or looking forward.
Some days the thought of looking anyone in the eye is too much to bear.
Some days all you feel like doing is curling up with a box of donuts and throwing yourself a pity party.
Some days your spirit is so broken that you can’t remember the last time you laughed.
Some days feel so completely out of control that all you can do is breathe from one moment into the next.
Some days there are not enough distractions and too many memories.
Some days, thankfully, there is this:
Some days are better than others.
If you find yourself in hell, keep going. – Winston Churchill

Love this, so very much.
Do you know the books “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good Very Bad Day?”
His mother says, “Some days are like that.”
Indeed, they are.
Sending love and donuts and swooning over that photo.

You know, there are days when I really just don’t want to get out of bed but then, I realize all the shit I have to do and that pushes me out. I absolutely adore this picture of my little piggy! 🙂

Oh those some days. I often wonder what would I do without the innocence in my children’s eyes when they see me. That light shines through on those some days. Beautiful picture!
Tonya says
Thank you! Children truly make everything better and if not, they at least put life into perspective, don’t they?

Lovely post. Love the photo too! I had some of those days last week (very sick boy). Once you’ve had enough ‘some days’ followed by better days, it gets easier to remember that better days are on the horizon.

I hate days like those ones, but as you said, these little people know exactly how to make you smile and help you move forward, even on the worse days. Hang in there. Lucas has got to be the cutest little boy in the world; this photo is gorgeous! So much happiness on his little face : ) Sending lots of love your way, My Dear Friend XOXO

In the wake of what I wrote last Wed…I literally couldn’t stop the tears reading this, knowing that your heart is hurting just makes me ache. I hate that I can’t make it better or give you words that would ease it….but I also know by that last picture that your heart has a refuge, a joy, a true reason to beat. I love u BIG my friend and your words touched me in my own heart today. Xo
