This post was written for Mama Kat’s Writer’s Workshop, Prompt 1.) Last week we wrote about what we have never done… (Check out my I Never list here.) this week write a list of 22 things you HAVE done. (inspired by Sellabit Mom)
Andrea says
I love it! I’m about to post mine, as well. I missed out on last week’s prompt but might do it tomorrow, just cause!!
Tonya says
I’ll be sure to check it out!
Stasha says
We share many in common including 13, 19 and 21. I heart this list so much Tonya.
Tonya says
At only 39, I’ve lived a very full life. I’m not done yet, but so far, I can’t complain!
Stephanie says
I have never understood when people say it is weird to go to a movie by yourself. I’ve seen at least four by myself.
How was the no drugs thing for you? My first child was not bad, thought the second child was trying to tear me in half 😛
Tonya says
I LOVE going to the movie by myself. LOVE it!
As far as the no drug thing, it was a choice but it hurt like a mother F$%^&*!
I practiced all kinds of special breathing techniques and had created a lovely soothing play list… both went right out the window.
By the time we arrived at the hospital I was ready to ask for drugs but then learned I was already at 8 centimeters dilated. Within 15 minutes, Lucas was born.
I would do it again.
Stephanie says
I actually didn’t prepare for no drugs, although I was not at all sure that I could let someone stick a huge ass needle in my back. No matter how much pain I was in!! But the choice was taking away when I got to the hospital since I was 10 cms already.
My second one I went in knowing for sure that I would choose no drugs, but OMG!! She hurt me like the hounds of hell!!
That being said, if we were to have another one (soooo not happening!) I would choose no drugs again 🙂
Jessica says
How awesome you have done so much traveling in your life.
DMB is so much fun to see in concert. I used to wait in line for hours to get seats to tickets.
Tonya says
Yes, growing up overseas offered me A LOT of advantages!
I heart DMB so much. But you already knew that. 🙂
Alison at Mommy is a Power Ranger says
Great list! I did the no drugs thing too, with my 2nd and 3rd, and personally felt it was way better than with drugs.
Tonya says
It was a conscious decision for me to deliver my son without drugs, but had I not been 8 centimeters dilated upon arrival to the hospital, I may have changed my mind.
Kimberly says
I am so jealous of your traveling! I would love to see DMB in concert.
Tonya says
You simply MUST see DMB sometime. They are amazing. Of course, I’m biased.
Erin says
I’m so jealous that you have been so many fab places, I would love to go to Egypt!
Tonya says
My parents worked in American/International schools, so I lived my entire childhood (6-17) overseas and then continued visiting them wherever they lived up until 2007.
